Certification guidance
Companies and Fleets
Certification follows admitted robot identities and evidence. A fleet label or a shared model does not turn separate robots into one certified subject.
Can a company act as an Owner?
The administration model allows an Owner to be a human or legal organization, with authenticated people and scoped technical agents acting under the applicable authority. Company membership does not grant certifier authority or access to another organization’s records.
Is an external manufacturer API or sandbox open?
No external manufacturer API or sandbox is being offered through this site. Internal interfaces and development exercises do not establish external access. The API guidance distinguishes this from the existing anonymous public verification API.
Can identical units share a robot identity or certificate?
A certificate for one admitted robot identity does not certify neighboring units. Shared product evidence may be relevant to a Profile, but it does not erase per-robot identity, authority or history. A copied identifier is not proof that two devices are the same subject.
How does a batch relate to an individual certificate?
The development model groups transport and observation while keeping each item’s identity, evidence and outcome separate. A batch is not a shared certification decision. This describes the design boundary, not a currently available public batch-submission service.
Can a company override a failed or held evaluation?
No. Correct the relevant evidence or follow the applicable hold-resolution path. Neither company status, a new request key, payment nor an administrator’s preference can turn a failed mandatory control into a pass.
Does a person approve every passing robot?
The design uses deterministic evaluation for ordinary applications. People govern Profiles, signing authority, audits, incidents and exceptional cases. A passing evaluation still follows the separate supported signing and publication path; it is not an online issuance permission.
What fleet capacity or turnaround is promised?
No public throughput or turnaround commitment is made. A local or isolated test does not establish factory-line capacity, Production load behavior or a service level.
Does every software change revoke certification?
No general rule of that kind is stated here. The applicable Profile and evidence requirements determine the significance of a change. A software update is not automatically a certificate-revocation reason, and this FAQ cannot decide whether a particular change requires new evidence.
Should automation use an employee’s login?
No. The design separates a person’s session from a narrowly delegated service identity. Automation must stay within its admitted organization, actions and robot subjects. It cannot borrow certifier authority or inspect unrelated records.
