GRRC (Global Robot Registration and Certification) certifies one narrow, verifiable property of an autonomous robot — the integrity of its reasoning and the genuineness of its certificate. Not that a decision was good. Not that the robot is safe. Only what can be proven, by anyone, from the outside.

For robot owners, insurers, operators, and anyone who has to rely on an autonomous machine: a certificate is an independent record you can check yourself, no programming required.

GRRC is a single-operator certification body today, not yet a separately accredited institution. Hosted verification is informational — a convenience over the offline verifier, which is the authoritative floor.

The problem it solves

Every maker attests to its own machines. When the party making the statement is the party checking it, the statement is only as good as your trust in the maker. GRRC exists so there is a record an outsider can check instead.

The narrow claim

GRRC certifies one narrow property, stated precisely below. The statement is rendered byte for byte from the document of record, with its digest. The diagram is an illustration; the statement governs.

A public verification of a GRRC certification confirms three things only: that the clearance is genuinely signed by the certifier against the published trust anchor and is not self-issued; that the robot's audit chain is intact and single-headed through the stated sequence; and that the clearance meets the four validity conditions (bound to the specific self-de-cert it supersedes, within its stamped lifetime, and the most recent valid certification-relevant event).

Verification does not assert that the robot's decisions or actions were correct, appropriate, or wise; that the owner's rules were sufficient or well-chosen; that the robot is safe, secure, or free of defects in any domain other than reasoning integrity; or that the robot conforms to the full Law catalog. A verification result carries an explicit statement of these limitations so that "verified" cannot be read as a broader endorsement of the robot's conduct or the owner's rules.
